The Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 700 AC drive, a flexible, high-performance addition to the Allen-Bradley PowerFlex family of drives, offers global ratings from 0.37 kW (0.5 hp) to 22 kW (40 hp) and voltage ranges from 400 to 480 volt (initial release). PowerFlex 700 AC drives are configurable for volts-per-hertz and sensorless vector application needs. Key features of the PowerFlex 700 are as follows:

Commonality – the PowerFlex 700 is a member of the PowerFlex family of drives ranging from * to 4,000 horsepower. The PowerFlex family features common programming, operator interface, communications and PC tools – simplifying start up, operation and maintenance.

W-Series stainless steel washdown brushless servo motors provide low inertia for fast acceleration and a rugged design especially suited for food processing environments. Available in two frame sizes, the W-Series motors range in continuous torque capability from 1.7 to 7.2 N-m (15 to 64 lb-in) and speeds up to 3000 rpm. These motors are compatible with all 230V Ultra products including the Ultra3000, Ultra5000 and ULTRA 100/200.

The F165 frame motors extend the torque range of the MP-Series family up to 19.4 Nm (171.7 in-lb). Feedback options include absolute single- or multi-turn high-resolution encoders. All motors are offered with a brake option.

Product Overview
The FLEX Ex I/O family has been expanded to include a bus isolator, an alternative analog input module, and AC power supplies. In addition, all of the FLEX Ex product line, except for the -PS1E and -PS2E, now has FM certification in addition to UL/cUL certifications for hazardous area applications.

The FLEX Ex Bus Isolator pair (1797-BIC & -CEC) allows you to connect FLEX and FLEX Ex modules to the same adapter and group them together on the appropriate side of the bus isolator to allow combinations of Intrinsically Safe (IS) and non-IS systems. The -BIC and -CEC modules are used as a pair. They provide for a cost-effective meansto use FLEX Ex in lower point count applications and to allow connection to other FLEX I/O adapters and alternative networks. The 1794-CE1 and -CE3 cables are normally used to interface with the bus isolator. When the bus isolator is inside an explosion-proof or purged enclosure, 1797-CE1S and 1797-CE3S cables are used.

Noise-Filtered Analog Input modules for process applications. The 1797-IE8NF is an 8-point, 16-bit, single-ended, non-isolated, analog input module. It captures signals from differential pressure and temperature transmitters, level detectors, flowmeters and other associated apparatus. This module can be used in place of the 1797-IE8 for slower changing, steady-state processes where the additional hardware filtering damps out spurious signals. The IE8NF has slower sampling (100 ms minimum) versus the IE8 (1 ms minimum). The standard -IE8 module is typically used to act on changes-of-state and for high-speed measurement applications.

AC Power Supplies – 1797-PS1E for Europe (available in late December), and 1797-PS1N for North America (available in first quarter of calendar 2002). The FLEX Ex AC power supplies accept 85 - 250 VAC input power and have 4 intrinsically safe outputs. The power supply converts power to safe levels that is then routed to the I/O modules. Since the I/O modules contain transformers that provide the necessary voltages to transmitters and field devices, no additional power supplies are required. The -PS1E power supply has Increased Safety terminations suitable for Europe and CENELEC certification. The -PS1N power supply, for North American use, has pipe thread conduit openings that are used with poured seals. This product will be released when FM and/or UL certification is available.

The Ultra5000 intelligent positioning drive is a high performance, fully programmable, single axis servo drive. Targeted at demanding OEM and other advanced motion applications, the Ultra5000 encapsulates unmatched performance and flexibility in an integrated controller and drive package. The DeviceNet connection provides an open network for parameter and control communication directly to the Ultra5000 intelligent positioning drive. Embedded I/O provides a solution that addresses the technical and physical requirements for an OEM's machine-embedded application. Machine-embedded applications include those where the machine provides the enclosure for the I/O or where the I/O board fits into a field replaceable unit. When an OEM wants to save valuable cabinet space on machines and does not value traditional distributed I/O packaging, the unpackaged printed circuit board form factor is ideal.

Specifically, the 1799-ZCIOV is a 10 input / 10 sinking output, Zone Control I/O card with Zone Interlocking Protocol. The 1799-ZCIOB is a 10 input / 10 sourcing output, Zone Control I/O card with Zone Interlocking Protocol.

1326AB medium inertia brushless servo motors are specially engineered for high continuous output and smooth performance.
